Today I’d like to share about one of my favorite techniques — highlight hair color!
What Are Hair Highlights?
Highlights are a coloring technique that uses aluminum foil and bleach to lighten specific strands of hair.
This adds contrast, depth, and a natural sense of movement to your hairstyle.
✨ Perfect for you if:
- You want more movement when running your fingers through your hair
- Your hair looks heavy and you want a lighter feel
- You love soft, dimensional color
Even a simple ponytail or bun looks stylish when you have highlights!
Highlights to Blend Gray Hair
Recently, highlights are also popular for blending gray hair.
By adding light pieces around the face or part line, gray hairs mix in naturally, making root regrowth much less noticeable.
Each Design is Custom
The look changes depending on where and how thick the highlights are placed.
- For a subtle, natural look → fine highlights
- For a bolder, fun change → slightly thicker ones
- Placement angle (horizontal or diagonal) also changes the impression!
I love customizing highlight designs to match each person’s style, hair type, and lifestyle.
